Voice of the Inventor

Most companies conduct a “Voice of the Customer” (VoC) analysis before launching a new product effort but what if you could identify what your competitors inventors thought were the most important problems to solve with the new product.  Voice of the Inventor (VoI) does just that.  Mapping out the innovation networks of your competition IBP analyzes their inventions not for the solutions they have developed but rather for insights as the must solve needs they think the customer wants resolved.  This can be vital insight into what their intentions and potential weaknesses might be.
